And, The Blogs: | This website is currently going through some upgrates, we will start posting and updating as soon as we are done with the upgrading. Check back soon. -Team Which party is worthy of your PRECIOUS vote? With political parties gunning for more support and the election date nearing- a day after another- the South African political landscape could not get any crazier? Starting at home: Jacob Zuma has visited the University of Limpopo’s Turfloop Campus canvassing for his party, the ANC, in the crack of dusk of last year. This is after the captain of the ship of the Pirates of Polokwane (I credit Zapiro), Msholozi, triumphed over his then archrival and former state president, Thabo Mbeki- taking over the controls of the party. Julius “Shoot to Kill” Malema also paid the UL a couple of visits. “The one with a running mouth” (to steal from City Press’ Lizeka Mda) was also electioneering for his beloved ANC. The Opposition: The resultant of a splinter group from the ANC, Congress of the People (COPE) is also making its baby steps into the campus. Last year Mvume Dandala’s son, actor-cum-politician Hlomla was also recruiting for the newly formed “Shikota”(South African newspapers credited). And just last week Mvume and Sello Moloto (Former Limpopo Premier) were addressing Cope masses and the general public in the University of Limpopo’s Turfloop Campus. The DA this year has not shown any sign of life in this part of the country. Competition is rife, what do you think Zille? And well, Azapo is planning a visit to the very campus this week. Far Far Away: Nationally it has just been… (How does one say this without sounding informal?) Well it has been crazy. Julius Malema has been called Inkwenkwe (Xhosa for an uncircumcised young man) by Helen Zille of the DA after he accused her of being a racist. While Malema and some elder in his movement suggested Zille cannot speak of something she does not know! Oops! Are they suggesting that Malema might have shown Zille his… How then? Where? When? As if this was not crazy enough, Malema has called black members of the DA names, and said their role in the party was to say “yes ma’am” to Zille. In Kwazulu Natal Malema vowed to canvass in Mangosuthu Buthelezi’s “backyards” and the IFP (Buthelezi’s party) has vowed to fight back. It is so crazy that if I try to write it all I might loose my hand to exhaustion. But you’ve got the preview. So tell us which party deserves your vote? Vote on our poll. |
